Bouchercon Authors

Bouchercon is only 21 days away, and I will soon be seeing the people that most understand my existence, book people, and more pointedly, mystery and crime book people.  There is at the center of this incredible group of people the creators of those books that bring us together, the authors.  Even though I have now met many of my favorite authors, I find it hard to contain the excitement when we meet again, which often results in a bit of an enthusiastic scream.  I truly can't help myself.

And, there is always the anticipation of meeting authors that are new to me or favorites I've yet to wrestle to the ground.  Of course, I'm joking.  I haven't been able to wrestle in some time.  I'm always amazed at the list of authors that I haven't yet met.  I'm a list maker, and there is a folder of lists for each Bouchercon.  These pictures only represent a portion of authors met and not met.  There is a list of non-authors, too, people who make the reading world one of the best places in which to live.  That's another post.

So, I thought I'd do a pictorial tribute to some of those authors I'll be screaming, er squealing, at once again and those who will be on the receiving end of my first squeal.  I love you all and thank you for enriching my life every day of every year.

Here's a fun participatory part for anyone going to Bouchercon.  The first person to identify the authors in all the pictures will receive a free book, title learned upon winning.  Just list them in the order of appearance either here on the blog or on the FB post.  I'm limiting it to Bouchercon because I will bring the book to Bouchercon with me.
